Jay A. Jensen has 22 years of experience in tax, investment and estate planning with an emphasis in asset protection. His experience includes:

 

  • After working for three years in public accounting, Jay opened his own financial services firm in 1994. For the next eight years, Jay provided hundreds of high income/high net worth individuals with tax, investment and estate planning advice.
     

  • It was during this time that Jay became familiar with the concept of welfare benefit trusts. In time he became known as an expert in the field and sold his practice in 2002 in order to work as a benefits consultant full time.
     

  • IRS litigation consultant specializing in employee benefit controversy.
     

  • Consulting business owners on the advantages of Captive insurance companies to self-insure risk and legally transfer assets to the next generation.
     

  • Consulting with Municipalities and private entities on GASB 45 solutions.
     

  • Designing products and financing for key employee benefit solutions to fund partner buy outs, key man, and business succession planning.
     

  • Designing partially self funded strategies to help businesses reduce employee benefit costs while maintaining current benefit levels.
     

  • PPACA consulting including calculating employer financial effects due to new and evolving regulations.
